Captive Shot Blasting Explained:

Shot Blasting is the process of firing (in this case by a mechanical wheel) steel balls or steel shot in varying diameters to suit the task in hand at the concrete surface, this is ideal for removing Laitance, Low-Medium Build paint finishes, and providing a textured surface for the application of Latex coatings etc.  Captive Shot Blasting produces similar results and texture as open Shot Blasting but captures the dust and abrasive during the process. This makes Captive Shot blasting ideal for environments, such as public or private car parks, where dust contamination is unacceptable.
