Removing Heavy Build Up Of Oil and Dirt From Concrete Floor

We were recently contacted by a customer in Leicester who required our Captive Shot Blasting services to clean the concrete floors of 6 industrial units.

Unfortunately, due to years of oil laden grime build-up, Captive Shot Blasting proved impossible. After unsuccessful attempts, the high volume of oil within the concrete floor instantly blocking the machine.

After discussions with the client we opted to firstly remove the heavy contamination by way of Planetary Diamond Grinding using PCD tooling. This proved to be extremely successful leaving the floors very clean. This cleaning method leaves contrete floors without the desired smooth finish so Captive Shot Blasting was then carried out. We were now quickly and easily able to provide the required finish with the Shot Blaster, effectively Blasting regular clean concrete floor’s.

Result: Impressive looking finish and a very happy client!
